September 1, Monday Read: 1 Chronicles 5:11-17
Have you ever wondered why the family of Israel was split up into various tribes? One reason is that we need to indentify with a small group before we can take our place into a larger group. The more easily you relate to your local church, the more easily you will relate to the Church universal.

Careful words and moderate statements may cost a good deal in terms of self-denial and self-control, but they purchase great things. God's work has often been the casualty of unstudied remarks. Ask the Lord today to make you a peacemaker and not a piece-maker.

September 3, Wednesday Read: 2 Chronicles 12 : 2 - 8
The reason for Rehoboam's sins and errors is captured in these words, "he had not set his heart on seeking the Lord" (2 Chro 12:14). When we fail to seek the Lord, then it follows as the night follows the day that we can not serve the Lord.

September 4, Thursday Read: 2 Chronicles 14: 1 - 7
Do you have times when, like Asaph in Psalm 77, you feel like God has forgotten to be merciful? (v9) In such times, do as Asaph did, and remind yourself of the many blessings He has given you in the past (v.17). It will help you to keep things in perspective.

Two years before he died, Asa's feet became diseased. Did God condemn him for seeking the help of physician's? No - God's condemnation was because he sought help only from the physicians and not from the Lord. We must never lose sight of the fact that a doctor can only prescribe; it is God who heals.
Let us seek the Lord's help for the healing of Ellen Go, Albert Bernabe, Aurora Corpuz, Moises Santillan, Ellen Flores, Herminia Trinidad, Luz Deyto, Aning Manayon, and Ricky Gangan.
September 6, Saturday Read: 1 Kings 17: 1 - 6
Elijah had to learn to sit quietly before the Lord before he was called upon to engage in activity for him. Have you learned that lesson yet? Many can work for Him, but are unable to remain quietly for HIm. As the poet Milton said, "They also serve who only stand and wait."
In our quiet hearts, let us lift up to God the healing of Purita Donila and Lydia Villanueva.
September 7, Sunday Read: 1 Kings 19: 3 - 9a
When God chooses His servants for a special work, He looks for those who are focusing wholeheartedly on the task they have in hand. Elisha was ploughing when he received his call, and Peter was fishing when he received his. Fulfill your present tasks well, and God will give you even greater things to do.
