Christian Witness and Service (CWS)
The UCCP-EMC responds to the call to witness and serve through its Christian Witness and Service (CWS) Ministry. The CWS is responsible for ministering to the spiritual, social and material needs of selected urban communities through empowering and sustainable social justice and church planting programs. The ministry is particulary involved in
a) empowering
members to witness Christ's love among all people,
b) ministering to the spiritual and ethical needs
of the local and national church
c) responding effectively to relevant social and
economic needs and concerns of the church members
and community, and
d) exercising leadership along with other
organizations in the development, growth and unity
of Christian churches.
At present the CWS runs seven programs, namely: evangelism, church planting, cross-cultural missions, outreach Bible studies, prison ministry, health ministry, disaster response and the Street Dwellers Ministry.
